The 2025 Warner Racing Team season is officially off to a strong start! After three exciting races, we’re seeing solid progress on the track and continuing to build momentum for the rest of the year.

Race 1: Arrowhead Speedway – Eagle2 Monte Carlo Our first race of the season took us to Arrowhead Speedway with our “Eagle2” Monte Carlo. It wasn’t all smooth sailing, as we encountered an early setback when we broke the right front upper A-arm in the heat race. But the team rallied together, worked quickly, and got everything back in top shape for the A feature. Despite the challenges, we were able to secure an 11th place finish in a highly competitive field, which was an impressive performance leading up to the 20k-to-win show the following week.

Race 2: Creek County Speedway – Eagle1 Camaro Next up was Creek County Speedway with our “Eagle1” Camaro. The night began with a few “first race” bugs to work out, including some throttle linkage and starter wire issues. This provided a great teaching moment for our students, emphasizing the importance of weekly maintenance and pre-race checklists. After sorting everything out, we bounced back in the A feature. We spent most of the race in second, but a last-lap pass dropped us to third. A solid result overall, with a few key takeaways: we need to gear up a little more and focus on building better heat in the rear tires. All in all, a fantastic night of racing, especially alongside the ASCS Sprint Cars.

Race 3: Tulsa Speedway – Eagle1 Camaro For race number three, we returned to Tulsa Speedway with our “Eagle1” Camaro, building on the lessons learned from the previous week. Our heat race saw us finish in 3rd, and based on the heavier track conditions, we decided to change up our tire strategy for the A feature. We freshened up the left-side tires and swapped in new rubber on the right. With those changes in place, we were feeling confident. Starting 6th in the A feature, a few late cautions allowed us to capitalize on the setup adjustments, and we were able to drive our way up to a strong 2nd place finish!

Exciting Team Developments We’re thrilled to welcome Mr. Leatherman, our new program director, to the team! He jumped right in after spring break, joining us for races #2 and #3. Mr. Leatherman is set to pilot our “Eagle2” Monte Carlo in race #4, building on the strong foundation already in place. He’s been hard at work looking for ways to elevate our program and prepare for the transition from a one-hour-a-day schedule to a three-hour career tech program for the 2025-2026 school year.

We’re looking forward to what the rest of the season holds, and we’ll keep pushing forward with our students and team to make this year one to remember.
